About BCB Sports

This is a home for Houston sports and Houston sports fans by two guys who care about them a lot and know about them a little. The Bayou City Bandwagon (you can call us BCB Sports) is a site born out of passion and, above all, a sense of humor. We’re Houstonians and proud of it. We love our city and our teams, and we’re not afraid to laugh at them. We don’t take ourselves too seriously, but we might on occasion act like we’re better than you. We’ll share content that we find interesting, entertaining, random and hilarious. We’ll have insightful posts, and we’ll also have posts that provide absolutely no insight whatsoever and make you feel dumber for having looked at them. We’ll have original content, and we’ll have content that we jacked from someone else that we simply want to pass along and share. Sometimes we’ll be serious, and many times we won’t. Mostly, we just plan to have fun and celebrate and commiserate about Houston sports. We hope you enjoy it.

About the BCB Sports team:

Nick Scurfield worked for the Houston Texans for six years (2007-13) as “Texans Insider” – covering the team from within Reliant (now NRG) Stadium on HoustonTexans.com, SportsRadio 610 AM and FOX Sports. Still tweets about the Texans a lot. Graduated from the University of Southern California and grew up in Mississippi, Hawaii and the Seattle area.

Craig Hlavaty, a native Houstonian, is a general reporter the Houston Chronicle, TV host on “Between the Lines” on CW39 NewsFix and regular contributor to the “Outlaw Dave” radio show on KPRC 950 AM. Formerly wrote about music for the Houston Press. According to his Twitter bio, “Texan, Gun Owner, Domer, Country Music DJ. All man. And then some.”
